Happy St. Patty's Day!

>> Monday, February 19, 2018

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I certainly did. Our daughter, son in law and youngest grandchild came to visit for the weekend. It was so very nice to have them here. They left this morning for the long drive back to VA. I miss them already. The weekend went by way too fast! To help keep my mind off their departure, I'll spend some time stamping and creating today.

The new St. Patrick's day greeting is a perfect match for the recently released paper coffee cup. I started by stamping the coffee cup onto white CS with Memento Black ink, added some shading with Copics and then stamped the Corner Shamrock image onto the cup with Memento Bamboo ink. The cup was stamped again onto kraft CS, fussy cut the band and shaded the edges with some TH Distress inks before attaching it to the coffee cup. A punched Shamrock was added to the band along with a yellowish gold rhinestone. The Better Irish greeting was stamped with Memento Bamboo ink onto white CS, die cut and layered onto kraft and green CS. The kraft layer was embossed with a Darice Shamrock EF.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card. The Happy St. Patty's day greeting was stamped with Memento Bamboo ink.

My second card features the new silhouette shamrock field along with a St. Patty's Day greeting that was released last year.  I started with some water color CS and sponged on some TH Distress Oxide inks for the sky and grassy areas on the card. Once the inks dried, the greeting was stamped with Versafine Onyx ink and the silhouette field of shamrocks was stamped with Memento Bamboo ink. This panel was layered onto black CS and then attached to the white card base. Some sheer green ribbon was added and then the lucky coin image was stamped, colored and die cut. A tiny black brad was added to the center of the coin image.

Here's a look at the inside. The small Happy St. Patrick's Day greeting was stamped; with Versafine Onyx ink, then the small cluster of shamrocks were added on both ends of the greeting with Memento Bamboo ink. The silhouette field of shamrocks was stamped along the bottom with the same Memento Bamboo ink.

Thanks for stopping by today!

shelia
